When i was young (.... well that doesn't at all mean that i am not young anymore), i remember spending my sundays in a very different way. Perhaps some of you would identify with what i am going to tell you and someone won't and those someone would be those who has born in big cities.
A typical sunday would start late.....late in the sense that we all in the family would get up late.....sunday was the official day to get up late ,otherwise it's early morning 4 am.The late here i am talking about is 7 am not later then that......i know i know it is still early morning for the city people.....anyways.....so
where i was ...yeah the sunday....after we get up ...cleaning session would start normally....cleaning of our beds to school uniform....mom would be in the kitchen and dad would be in the vegetable garden .At that time around there was no cable TV...so we didn't have the luxury to change the channels and watch all the shows . All week days we used to wait desperately for the sunday to come...u know why? because that was the only day when we can watch "something good" in the doordarhan apart from the KRISHI DARSHAN. From 7 am Rongoli through 9 am Chandrakanta till the evening 4 pm Hindi movie the programs were endless. Well sundays were not special only because we got to watch the TV but also for the food that dad used to cook for us.....i just can't forget them....i am not saying that it doesn't happen now but i am no longer a part of it. sad thing.
